I'm Cassandra, a photographer based in New York City. Photography has been apart of my life since I was a child, to having my father capturing special moments on a polaroid 600. Even my mother always buying me a disposable camera to take on field trips for school. This medium of art has allowed me to express myself without having to say much. Seeing an image and letting your thoughts run freely has always spoken to me so deeply. To let yourself pause and take in something that someone has created. I believe using photography to tell compelling stories and sharing the beauty of New York. The genre I gravitate the most to is street photography, especially growing up in New York in my adolescent years. It is constantly changing and evolving into something beautiful than it was before. Just like the way the city changes, I am too. Carrying around a camera lets me capture those changes within myself and what I see. The love I have grown for photography will follow me always and within my images that I will continue to create.
